Youth Public Safety Academy-Community Service Opportunity

The Youth Public safety academy is sponsored by the City of Suffolk, Suffolk Police Department and Suffolk Fire and Rescue. It is designed to build confidence and focus on the duties of public safety personnel in the hopes of establishing respect and trust between at-risk children and professionals. The academy provides an educational experience that includes hands-on activities based on actual public safety duties. Classes start in late February and run through the second week in May. Classes include a snack and community service opportunities. Applications are due Friday, January 19th, 2018. Please see Officer Young or the Guidance department for applications.
