Announcements – February 9, 2018

  • Students: if you are taking the ACT tomorrow, Feb. 10th, the faculty and staff would like to wish you the very best.  Please arrive by 7:30 a.m. and enter the building through the English/Foreign language hall doors.  Please remember to bring your ID, ticket, calculator, two #2 pencils and snack for breaks.  If you do not have your ID and ticket you will not be allowed to test.
  • Class of 2018, the Workkeys writing test will be offered at Lakeland High School on February 15th during school. The cost of the test is $30. You must sign up and pay in the testing office by Tuesday, Feb. 13th. No late registration is allowed! 
  • ASVAB testing will take place  21st at LHS. Sign ups will take place in the library. Students may start signing up for a space now through Friday, Feb. 16th. Only students in grades 10-12 are allowed to test. 
  • The payment deadline for Paul D. Camp Community College courses is today, Feb. 9th. Please see Ms. Bowers if you need further information. 
  • Juniors: if you plan on taking the March 10th SAT, please see Mrs. Foster with questions. 
  • There will be boys’ tennis conditioning today, Feb. 9th after school at the tennis courts from 3:15 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. make sure you have a ride home. Questions talk to Coach Jay in room 209.








  • Next week kicks off Lakeland’s Suffolk Education Foundation campaign. Posters have been placed around the school showing the theme for each day.
    • Monday, dress like your friend for twin day. 
    • Tuesday, express yourself by wearing pink head to toe. 
    • Wednesday, buy a valentine gram for your sweetie. 
    • Thursdayis backwards day…wear everything backwards.
    • Fridayis crazy hat day.

To participate in each event, pay $1 in the library before school, or at the library table in the cafeteria during lunches. Stickers will be handed out to students who paid to participate. All proceeds go towards teacher grants, student scholarships and educational programming.
