Cavalier Please return all ASUS tablets as we prepare for the distribution of Chromebooks. These tablets will be deactivated on February 7, 2020.

 Dual Enrollment students: payment for second semester Dual Enrollment classes is due. If you have not paid your dual enrollment fee, please contact the bookkeeper immediately. The fee is $150.00 per course.

 SENIORS: if you signed up for the Gear Up scholarship, you must complete the FAFSA to get your scholarship. Please see Mrs. Foster asap to complete.

 STUDENTS: located in the art hall outside of room 150 are applications for the "doodle for google" art contest. This is open to any student at Lakeland High school. This art competition has opportunities for scholarships for students and tech grants for our school. Application forms have a due date of March 13th, entries must go through Mrs. White for submission. Many art competitions are open at this time. Please check with Mrs. White if you are not an art student this year but would like to participate.

 The LHS library is celebrating Chinese new year through its official ending date of February 8th. Come try your hand at origami, check out a book on Chinese history and culture, read the Chinese zodiac calendar to find out who you are compatible with and earn a fortune cookie for every day you check out a book.

 The next (GSA) gay straight alliance meeting is Monday, Feb. 10th 3:30 p.m. in room 223.

SENIORS: dues are $60. Please pay them to Ms. Manning or Mr. Earls.

 SENIORS: you will be able to sign up for cap and gown portraits beginning Feb. 2.

 The Suffolk Reading Council and the LHS library are partnering together for a book drive this February. Gently used children's books that are dropped off to the LHS library will be donated to local businesses and CHKD.

 CAVALIERS: help support our deployed troops! Beginning today, Feb. 4th until Feb. 12th, Lakeland High School will be collecting care packages and non-perishable items such as hand sanitizer, lotion, baby wipes, and foot powder. Please drop off your items to the ROTC room, library, or the main office by Wednesday, Feb. 12th. Thank you in advance for supporting this worthy cause.

 Girls’ tennis conditioning will be held on Friday, Feb. 7th from 3:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m.
