CavalierThe Scholastic Bowl team will practice on Mon., Nov. 19, 2018 immediately following school in room 126. This is due to the fact that our meet is on Tuesday next week. Practice will last one hour. Please plan to provide your own transportation or ride the 5:30 bus.

There is one week left of the Thanksgiving library media center book drive. Please bring your new or gently used books to the library this month. Books will be donated to homeless children shelters and prison rehabilitation centers.

The Ladies of Distinction are sponsoring a Coat and Hat Drive for the surrounding Suffolk community. Accepting all sizes of clean gently used and new winter coats, hats, scarves and mittens. These items will be distributed to some of our neediest families. Collection will be Nov. 2-20, 2018. Drop off times: Before and after school in Room 232 (Ms. Snead).

The character development trait for November is RESPONSIBILITY. Responsible students honor their commitments - to others and to themselves. They succeed in school by doing their assignments well and on time. They do their share of group projects. They go to practices, tutoring and meetings consistently. Teachers, please send nominations for responsible students to the Library Media Center staff. Those nominees will be able to choose a prize at the end of the month.

Dasha Williams - she is always willing to help clean up. She is very friendly to all of the students in class. She is willing to help in any way, and is very responsible.

Julie Bach - she is a smart, independent young lady that always turns in work, including projects when they are first assigned. Her work ethic has such drive, it is a blessing to have such a student in class.

Writing results from October are back. Students who tested may stop by Guidance to see Mrs. Spruill.
