CavalierLakeland High School will be hosting College Night. This is an opportunity to speak with over 50 representatives from various colleges and universities. Come and experience a one-stop shop to get information on admission requirements, deadlines and so much more. This will take place on Monday, Sept.30th from 6-8 p.m. in the cafeteria. Don't miss your chance to see colleges and universities all in one place. See you there!

 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community awards, please see our school counseling dept. For more information.

 Anyone getting a re-take on Sept. 30th will get their pass on Thursday/Friday of next week. Remember, there is a $20.00 sitting fee.

 Come check out the campground set up in the LHS library. Cozy up by a crackling fire and read a good book. Post your review and tag lakeland_hs_library on Instagram and win s'mores. That's right, toasted, gooey s'mores! See the library for details.

 School photos will be taken on Monday, Sept. 30th and Tuesday, Oct. 1st during English classes. Please direct any questions concerning class photos to Ms. Krauss in room 108.

 American Sign Language club will start on Tuesday, Oct. 1st in room 103. You do not have to be a student taking ASL to belong to the club. Come out and join the fun.

 If you are interested in being a part of the Student Council Association, please stay after school on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd in room 111.

 There will be an FCCLA meeting on Monday, Sept. 30 in room 117. This meeting is for current members only.

 There will be a GSA meeting on Mon., Sept. 30, 3:15 in room 223.

 SENIORS: the Portsmouth Alumni chapter of Elizabeth City State University is sponsoring a free trip to the university's open house on Saturday, Oct. 12. If you are interested in attending please see Mrs. Williams in the counseling department.

* The Scholastic Bowl team will practice on Mon., Sept. 30, 3:15 in room 126.

 AP students requesting financial assistance for test fees are reminded that forms are due to Mrs. Gregg in the testing office Tuesday, Oct 1.

 Join the spirit club! The first meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 3:15 p.m. in room 107. See you there!

 Girls soccer conditioning will start on Monday, Nov. 4th. If you are interested in playing girls soccer please sign the interest sheet with Mrs. Foster on Tues., Oct.1st and Thursday, Oct. 3rd during lunches.

 The Lakeland Marching Quiet Storm band would like to take the time to thank everyone who came out and supported our second annual Eye of the Storm Classic Band Day Competition held on Saturday, Sept. 28. It was a complete success! Please come out and support our band-day next year. Again, we just can’t hide our Cavalier pride.
